15th anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Yesterday was the 15h anniversary of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the TV show. I didn’t get a chance to blog about this yesterday. I tweeted about it though. At least, I’m pretty sure I did. Growing up, this show was a must watch show for me. In fact, it’s the show that got me hooked into the vampire genre even though I’ve seen other vampire movies before that. It was always nice to see Buffy kicking some vampire butt! Also, I loved the love story between Buffy and Angel. Who didn’t? She’s a vampire slayer and he’s a vampire cursed with a soul. They should be enemies, right? Nope. I haven’t seen that before this show, so I thought it was really cool that a vampire has a soul. Fans wanted to see them together. I was sad when he left. Of course, he went onto his own show, Angel, which was a spinoff. I wished there were more Buffy/Angel crossover episodes. I liked those because it gave Buffy and Angel a chance to reunite. I guess at the time it was a bit difficult to do those crossovers when Buffy switched to a different network. It sucked to see them on different networks. Anyways, Buffy was the show that I never missed and I became a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar because of it. Nowadays, I try to catch the reruns whenever I can. I don’t know if they have a certain schedule for the reruns or if it just plays at a random time slot. I’ll always love Buffy the Vampire Slayer. :)
